Speed
Web site speed is one of the most important aspects of building and maintaining a website. Site speed affects the Search Engine Placement and the user/customer experience. If the Website is slow loading the visitors will quickly find other places to visit.
There is always a trade-off between displaying different content and page load speeds. for example, if a client decides they want a contact form instead of displaying an email link then this can affect page load because contact forms are usually rendered on the page via some kind of script.
I use various image optimisation methods to make sure images are the correct screen size for the device and smallest file size possible without losing pixel information and I try to use next-gen image formats like .webp, all to ensure the fastest possible loading times.
